What is the Kundalini Awakening?

Q: I hear people, in the spiritual realm, speak of having a Kundalini Awakening. Is this a frightening experience and does this happen when working with you?

A: The word, Kundalini, means, “she who is coiled”. Kundalini is the process of shakti’s ascent from root chakra (perineum) to the crown of the head. When this dormant energy is gently awakened, it rises up to expand consciousness. A full Kundalini awakening can bring the seeker to enlightenment. Together, we begin to feel this delightful energy at our root and begin to feel clear, safe and connected here at the base. We are then able to safely ascend into our higher chakras. The more we are grounded, the further we can reach up into the higher realms of light. Together we will access, integrate, move and transmute this energy very safely through a gradual process/practice of undulating breath techniques with a forward and back movement of the sacrum. Clearing the chakras and the emotional field also, most definitely, aids in this process. Kundalini can only rise once you have united both the feminine and masculine polarities within-feeling the divine intercourse within your own being. There are breathing exercises (as felt as a circuit in the etheric body) to aid you in experiencing this union.

As the energy moves up the spine, the cerebral spinal fluid becomes charged, and is felt as a tingle going up the spine and into the brain, stimulating the pituitary, hypothalamus, and pineal glands. These once dormant areas in the brain now awaken which can lead to cosmic consciousness, a feeling of oneness with everything, and clairvoyance.
