Are there any exercises that can improve my mood?

Q: I’ve been feeling really down for awhile. Do you think these exercises can help me?

A: We hold emotions and memories in our connective tissues, as literally, crystalline material. Discordant energies, thus become, trapped here in our muscles, tendons, ligaments, and joints. As we begin moving and stretching, much can come to the surface to be healed. We will discern where the emotion lies, we feel it wherever it is present, we honor its gift, move our bodies and dance with it, understand its message and then when ready we can bid it farewell if it no longer serves us or integrate it. Emotion gets its name from ‘Energy in motion’. Emotional clearing is certainly a benefit of this practice; working with Shakti energy most definitely facilitates the process, as we will focus on movement. Shakti energy urges us to integrate the polarities…..to experience all that is….to experience the extremes, even, in order to know what center is-the middle way….a diving into all experience at once. It wants us to experience both the light and the dark to reach enlightenment. This is our 3D human experience. Go ahead and allow any discordances to move through you. As we observe its movement and feel its beautiful message, the seeming discordance with its profound message may then feel sweet. In the end, our goal is to become freer, lighter, and more peaceful, while remaining the witness to all of this wonderful transformation!
